A healthy source of carbohydrate that is high in fibre (7.7g per 100g) and low in sodium. Great source of B complex vitamins. Oats can contain traces of gluten as well as other proteins that coeliacs may react to, however, most can digest easily and eat as part of a gluten-free diet. To cook, use 2 parts liquid (water or milk) to 1 part oats and place on a low heat on the stove, cook until thick and creamy. Can be soaked overnight in the fridge. Top with raw honey, brown sugar, cacao powder or nibs, nuts, seeds, and fruit.
