High in protein and essential amino acids. Rich in dietary fibre and vitamin B. To prepare, add black beans to a large bowl and cover with at least 4 inches of cold water, then leave to soak overnight or for at least 6 hours. Once soaked, rinse, cover in a large pot with about 3 inches of water and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 1-2 hours or until they reach your desired tenderness. Great for adding to salads and stews or vegetarian tacos! Cooked black beans can be kept covered in the fridge about 1 week.
